Brock Lesnar retires from WWE following loss to Oba Femi

Brock Lesnar has officially retired from professional wrestling following a defeat by Oba Femi in a Hell in a Cell match at SummerSlam. Following the match, Lesnar signaled the end of his career by acknowledging Femi as the future of the industry.

WWE Hall of Famer John ‘Bradshaw’ Layfield praised Lesnar’s career on ‘Something To Wrestle,’ describing him as a ‘once-in-a-generation freak’ and noting his ability to maintain high-quality matches despite a limited schedule. Layfield also suggested that a bout with diverticulitis may have previously shortened Lesnar’s UFC career.

In a separate commentary on ‘The Hall of Fame,’ Booker T expressed support for Lesnar’s decision to step away while highlighting the rapid ascent of Oba Femi. Booker T noted that Femi has matured quickly as a performer and is currently in a position to dominate the industry, stating, ‘I don’t expect for him to try to give it up anytime soon to anybody.’
