Brodie Kostecki claims pole position for The Bend 500

Brodie Kostecki secured pole position for the AirTouch 500 at The Bend after a decisive performance in the Top 10 Shootout. Driving the Dick Johnson Racing Ford Mustang GT, Kostecki recorded a time of 1m16.3756s.

Kostecki overcame an early deficit to Matt Payne of Grove Racing, who had been fastest through the first two sectors. Kostecki’s third sector was the fastest of the session, allowing him to beat Payne by 0.0736 seconds. Kostecki was the only driver in the shootout to improve upon his earlier qualifying time.

Ford secured the first two rows of the grid, with Tickford Racing teammates Cameron Waters and Thomas Randle qualifying third and fourth respectively. Anton De Pasquale finished fifth, while Kai Allen took sixth.
