Brodski Stupnik officials address demographic decline and family support

During the celebration of Municipality Day in Brodski Stupnik, local officials addressed demographic challenges and community development. Marija Rosandić, Vice President of the Municipal Council, highlighted measures aimed at supporting young families, including increased newborn benefits and efforts to resolve housing issues for young residents.

Rosandić also noted the expansion of kindergarten capacities as a key investment in the community's future. Mayor Petar Bašić emphasized the urgency of these measures, noting that the municipality lost nearly 800 residents between the 2011 and 2021 censuses. To combat this trend, the municipality is providing various supports for students and parents, alongside infrastructure projects such as new playgrounds and a nearly completed kindergarten capable of accommodating 80 children.
