Brodsko-posavska County invests in school energy efficiency

Brodsko-posavska County has implemented several energy efficiency projects across educational institutions, funded in part by the European Union through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan.

In Molve, an energy renovation of the elementary school sports hall is underway using the ESCO model. The 1.5 million euro project includes thermal insulation, replacement of windows, and a complete reconstruction of the heating and air conditioning systems. The project aims to reduce annual heating energy needs by at least 50 percent.

In Nova Gradiška, energy renovations for two high schools—the Industrial-Craft School and the Electrical and Economic School—have been completed. The Industrial-Craft School project, valued at approximately 2.47 million euros, involved upgrading walls, ceilings, floors, and joinery. The Electrical and Economic School project, valued at approximately 1.06 million euros, resulted in a 53.58 percent reduction in annual heating energy consumption and a 70.77 percent reduction in primary energy use.
