Brody Meadows returns to Virginia Tech offensive line after injury

Virginia Tech offensive lineman Brody Meadows is returning to full strength following a foot injury that sidelined him for the entire 2025 season. The injury, which was initially thought to be short-term, ultimately required surgical intervention, causing Meadows to miss his redshirt junior year.

His absence, along with graduate transfer Jaden Muskrat, contributed to significant depth issues for the Hokies' offensive line last season. Head coach James Franklin noted that the team struggled with a thin rotation, often relying on redshirt freshmen after injuries limited other players like Montavious Cunningham.

Meadows is currently working at right guard and is expected to bolster a unit that offensive line coach Matt Moore is focused on rebuilding through consistency and improved depth. Meadows previously logged 304 snaps in 2024, earning a 63.6 grade from Pro Football Focus.
