BROHR: New Danish animated satire film released by Gigis

The Danish animation collective Gigis has released BROHR, a political satire film produced in collaboration with Hyæne Film and Nordisk Film Distribution. Set in a near-future version of Blokhavn, the story follows a craftsman named Ali and his wife Yasmina as they face displacement from their neighborhood, Valhalalparken.

The conflict arises when a wealthy figure, Jasper Puch, introduces high-tech robots into the labor market, causing widespread unemployment among the local residents. To fight back against the AI-driven takeover and the demolition of their community for luxury housing, Ali reunites with a group of old friends to reclaim their jobs and their home.

Directed by Adrian Hosseinpour and Malthe Emil Kibsgaard, the film features Mads Mikkelsen in a comedic role as the antagonist Jasper Puch. The production is noted for its sharp political satire and continues the cinematic style established in previous Gigis works.
