Broker.xxx founder discusses adult industry marketplace evolution

In an interview marking the sixth anniversary of its launch, Jay, the founder of Broker.xxx, discussed the evolution of the platform and the current state of the adult industry marketplace.

Originally launched in 2020 to facilitate the sale of domains, Broker.xxx has expanded to become a primary marketplace for brokering adult websites and businesses. Jay noted that while the platform began with domain names, the majority of current business now involves the sale of entire adult properties.

Regarding the domain market in 2026, Jay observed that mainstream domains benefit from corporate funding and capital, whereas adult domain transactions are typically cash-based with a smaller pool of buyers. He stated that while average adult domains face lower demand due to the abundance of free content, premium domains continue to maintain value, though transactions for these high-end assets are less frequent.
