Bromley High Street stabbing leaves four injured and seven arrested
Four men were injured during a stabbing incident on Bromley High Street in south-east London on Thursday afternoon. Emergency services, including the London Ambulance Service and London’s Air Ambulance, responded to reports of an altercation at approximately 2:15pm.
Of the four victims, one remains in critical condition, while the other three are being treated for non-life-threatening injuries. Witnesses reported seeing individuals with large blades, including machetes, and described a chaotic scene that caused shoppers to seek shelter in nearby businesses. Some accounts suggested the altercation may have originated near or inside a KFC restaurant, though the company stated it is cooperating with police and supporting its staff.
The Metropolitan Police have arrested seven men in connection with the attack, all of whom remain in custody. Forensic investigators were deployed to the scene, and sections of the high street were cordoned off, leading to the diversion of approximately 15 bus routes. Authorities have stated that there is no wider threat to the public.
