Bronisze wholesale market sees price shifts in vegetables and nuts

Agricultural market trends at the Bronisze wholesale market indicate shifting prices across several produce categories. Imported carrots from the Netherlands have entered the market at prices between 1.00 and 1.30 PLN/kg, closely matching domestic rates. Experts note that Dutch carrots are often preferred by large-scale buyers due to superior washing techniques that enhance shelf life.

Field cucumber prices are expected to rise due to a decreasing supply of smaller calibers, though greenhouse cucumber rates have seen a slight recovery to 3.00–4.00 PLN/kg. Brussels sprouts are entering the season at high initial prices, while potato prices remain stable.

In the nut sector, spring frosts have significantly impacted hazelnut yields, leading to lower supply and higher costs. At Bronisze, hazelnut prices range from 20 to 25 PLN/kg, with premium varieties reaching 40 PLN/kg. Other wholesale markets report even higher rates for shelled hazelnuts, with prices reaching up to 50 PLN/kg.
