Bronner Bros. hosts 2nd Annual Beauty Icon Awards in Atlanta

The 2nd Annual Bronner Bros. Beauty Icon Awards took place at the Riverside EpiCenter in Atlanta, celebrating excellence and innovation within the Black beauty industry. Under the theme ‘Midnight Bloom,’ the ceremony honored various visionaries, entrepreneurs, and artists who have influenced representation and ownership in the sector.

Key honorees included Topicals founder Olamide Olowe, Carol’s Daughter founder Lisa Price, celebrity makeup artist Derrick Rutledge, and former WNBA player Sydney Carter. The event also highlighted the importance of academic empowerment, such as Spelman College’s Cosmetic Science Program, which prepares Black women for roles as researchers and decision-makers in the industry.
