Bronny James focuses on Lakers career following LeBron's move

Bronny James has expressed his commitment to developing his independent career with the Los Angeles Lakers following his father LeBron James's move to the Philadelphia 76ers for the 2026-2027 NBA season.

Bronny stated that he intends to grow as a player, focusing on his roles as a secondary playmaker and a frontcourt defender. He noted that while he and his father do not discuss business or career moves extensively, they share a mutual understanding regarding their separate professional paths.

The separation of the father-son duo, who previously made history as the first to play in the NBA simultaneously, will lead to them facing each other as opponents. Their first scheduled matchup is set for December 25 during a Lakers versus 76ers game.
