Bronte hosts 35th Sagra del Pistacchio festival

The 35th edition of the Sagra del Pistacchio in Bronte, Sicily, has seen high levels of participation from tourists and locals. The festival features culinary showcases, musical entertainment, and cultural activities designed to promote local gastronomic excellence and regional traditions.

The event reaches its peak on Sunday, October 4, with a schedule including exhibition stands, the ‘Trofeo del pistacchio 2026’, and the ‘Passeggiata in Rosa per la Vita’ awareness initiative. Cultural highlights include performances by the Blue Stars Street Band and traditional Sicilian puppet shows by the Fratelli Napoli.

A major highlight is the tasting of a large pistachio cake scheduled for 6:00 PM in Piazza Vincenzo Castiglione, created by local pastry chefs in collaboration with the Conpait association. Mayor Giuseppe Gullotta noted that the involvement of the protection consortium this year helps ensure the authenticity of the Bronte pistachio products.
