Multiple incidents have been reported in the Bronx, New York. A two-alarm fire broke out at La Roka, a Dominican-owned barbershop on West Burnside Avenue, after a lithium-ion battery ignited. The fire resulted in five injuries; a 29-year-old man and a 39-year-old woman were hospitalized in critical condition, while three other men were treated for stable injuries. The blaze also damaged the adjacent Ming Wong restaurant.

In a separate violent incident, three men were shot in front of a laundry on Commonwealth Avenue. The victims, aged 28 and 29, were transported to Jacobi Hospital, with one victim remaining in critical condition after sustaining a gunshot wound to the head. Authorities stated that a white SUV stopped in front of the victims before multiple shots were fired. Police are currently searching for the vehicle, and no arrests have been made.
