Bronx man charged with murder after allegedly pushing ex-girlfriend and baby from balcony

Angel Carrasco, 31, has been arrested and charged following the deaths of his ex-girlfriend and her infant in the Bronx. Police allege that Carrasco pushed 23-year-old Nathaly Ramirez and her 8-month-old daughter from a 15th-floor balcony at the Allerville Arms building on Tuesday morning.

Responding to a 911 call, officers found both victims with injuries consistent with a fall. Ramirez was pronounced dead at Jacobi Hospital, while the infant was reported to be in critical condition. While investigators initially considered the fall an accident, further examination of the balcony and witness reports of screaming led detectives to conclude the victims had been pushed.

Carrasco was apprehended by the Regional Fugitive Task Force after a friend informed detectives of his location. He faces multiple charges, including murder, attempted murder, manslaughter, attempted manslaughter, and assault. Authorities noted a documented history of domestic violence between the couple, including previous charges for assault and burglary involving Ramirez.
