Bronx man arrested after allegedly pushing woman and infant from 15th-floor balcony

A 23-year-old woman, Nathaly Ramirez, died after allegedly being pushed from a 15th-floor balcony in the Bronx while holding her 8-month-old daughter. The infant, Angel Novalty Carrasco-Ramirez, survived the fall but has reportedly taken a turn for the worse and is in dire condition at Cohen Children’s Medical Center in Queens.

Angel Carrasco, 31, the child’s father and Ramirez’s former partner, was arrested by the NYPD and U.S. Marshals after fleeing the scene. He faces charges of murder and attempted murder.

Approximately 200 people gathered for a vigil at the apartment building to honor Ramirez. The memorial was sponsored by We All Really Matter (WARM), an organization that assists domestic violence victims with funeral costs. Attendees and family members spoke about Ramirez’s character and called for systemic changes to protect victims of domestic violence.
