Bronx MTA bus and FDNY truck collision injures nearly 20

An MTA bus collided with an FDNY truck near the intersection of Southern Boulevard and Barretto Street in the Longwood section of the Bronx. The accident occurred around 12:30 PM on Tuesday.

Approximately 20 people were injured in the collision, including 14 passengers from the MTA bus and five firefighters. The NYPD and FDNY are investigating the circumstances of the crash. Investigators are reviewing factors such as vehicle speeds, whether emergency lights and sirens were in use, onboard camera footage, and visibility conditions to determine liability.
