Brooke Bruins defeat Beaver Local 33-20 in high school football

The Brooke Bruins defeated Beaver Local 33-20 on Friday night, marking the Bruins' first victory in three attempts against Buckeye 8 opponents. Brooke's offense was driven by Cole Bolen, who recorded 177 rushing yards on 18 carries and three touchdowns.

Beaver Local initially took an early lead following a fumble recovery on a punt return, which led to a 14-yard touchdown reception by Dillan McKenzie from Reid Schwerha. However, the Brooke defense limited Beaver Local to significant offensive struggles, holding them to just 47 total yards in the first half.

With this win, the Bruins improve to a 3-1 record and are scheduled to host Ripley next week. Beaver Local falls to 4-2 following their second consecutive loss and will play Hubbard next Friday.
