Television personality Brooke Burke has reflected on her departure from the ABC competition series ‘Dancing With the Stars’ during an appearance on ‘The Tamsen Show’ podcast. Burke, who co-hosted the show for seven seasons from 2010 to 2013, revealed that her exit occurred while her contract was being renegotiated.

Although producers informed her they were ‘making a change,’ Burke expressed that the dismissal left her questioning the underlying reasons. She speculated whether her removal was influenced by her age, ethnicity, or culture. She also noted that her successor, Erin Andrews, may have been viewed as more ‘relevant’ or ‘pressworthy’ at the time due to her background as an ESPN reporter.

Despite the emotional impact of the firing, Burke described her time on the show as an ‘epic and amazing’ experience and noted that she maintains many professional relationships from that period.
