Brooke Eby, a prominent ALS advocate and social media creator, has died at the age of 37. Known online by the handle ‘limpbroozkit’, Eby amassed over 500,000 followers on TikTok and Instagram by documenting her journey with amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) with humor and candor.

Diagnosed in 2022 at age 33, Eby used her platform to raise awareness about the terminal motor neuron disease and the challenges faced by patients. She founded ALStogether, a Slack-based peer community designed to connect individuals living with ALS and their caregivers. The ALS Network, which honored her with the Advocate of the Year Award in June, described her as an ‘extraordinary advocate, storyteller, community builder, and friend’.

Eby was also recognized for her professional resilience. While managing her progressing condition, she continued her career as a business development manager at Salesforce, an arrangement that served as an example of workplace accommodation for employees facing devastating illnesses.
