Brooke Shields reveals reason for divorce from Andre Agassi

Brooke Shields has detailed the reasons behind her 1999 divorce from tennis star Andre Agassi in her memoir, ‘There Was a Little Girl’. The actress revealed that the marriage ended after Agassi confessed to hiding a crystal meth addiction during the early years of their relationship.

The couple met in 1993 in Africa and married in April 1997 in Monterey, California. Shields noted that Agassi initially courted her through long fax messages regarding life and the pressures of fame. Following the divorce, Shields stated she has not had contact with Agassi.
