Brookfield Asset Management targets doubling capital by 2031

Brookfield Asset Management has announced plans to double its fee-bearing capital by 2031. During its 2026 Investor Day, CEO Connor Teskey stated the company aims to double the size of its asset-management business every five years or less, citing momentum in infrastructure, energy, private equity, real estate, and credit.

As part of its strategic expansion, Brookfield has launched the $50 billion Maple Fund in partnership with CPP Investments. This framework allows both organizations to pursue up to $25 billion each in equity investments over an initial five-year period, targeting large-scale Canadian infrastructure projects and strategic industries.

Financial reports indicate Brookfield raised $163 billion over the past 12 months, with deployment doubling to $160 billion during the same period. The company currently manages $670 billion in fee-bearing capital.
