Brookfield to invest up to $600 million in ACME green fuels

Brookfield Asset Management has announced an investment of up to $600 million in ACME Cleantech Ventures to support the development of green molecule projects. The capital, provided through Brookfield’s Global Transition Fund strategy, marks the asset manager’s entry into the regional low-carbon fuels sector.

The investment is intended to fund the construction and development of an advanced pipeline of green ammonia and green methanol facilities. These projects are primarily located in India and Oman, targeting industries that are difficult to decarbonize through electricity alone.

ACME Cleantech Ventures, a UK-based entity within the ACME Group, aims to use the funding to scale commercial production and establish supply relationships with domestic and international customers. The move is positioned to address growing demand for scalable decarbonization solutions and enhanced energy security.
