Brooklyn Brewery to relocate from longtime Williamsburg home

Brooklyn Brewery is relocating from its longtime Williamsburg headquarters at 79 North 11th Street to a new facility at 1 Wythe Avenue. The move comes after 30 years of operation at the original site, which the brewery first opened in 1996 to help revitalize brewing in the borough.

The new location is approximately four times the size of the current space, spanning 41,000 square feet across three levels. The expanded facility will include a state-of-the-art brewing operation, a rooftop terrace bar, event spaces, and a full kitchen. CEO Eric Ottaway noted that increasing commercial development in Williamsburg has put pressure on manufacturers to relocate.

To mark the transition, the brewery is hosting a farewell party on Saturday, August 29. A soft opening at the new Wythe Avenue location is expected later this summer, with a grand opening planned for the fall.
