Brooklyn Center police rescue 17 trafficking victims in hotel raids

Brooklyn Center police have confirmed that 17 women and girls were identified as victims of human trafficking following a series of coordinated raids on four local hotels. The operation, which took place on September 9, targeted the Travelodge, Super 8, Baymont, and Suburban Studios as part of a year-long investigation into human trafficking, narcotics distribution, and firearms offenses.

Law enforcement officials reported that the raids resulted in the arrest of 28 individuals. During the searches, officers recovered seven firearms, a significant quantity of suspected controlled substances, and $43,494 in cash.

Police Chief Garett Flesland stated that the rescued victims are being connected with support services and assistance. Authorities noted that the investigation is ongoing, and more victims could potentially be identified as evidence processing and interviews continue.
