Brooklyn Decker defends privacy of children in birthday post for Andy Roddick

Brooklyn Decker celebrated her husband Andy Roddick’s 44th birthday by sharing a series of family photos on Instagram. To protect the privacy and safety of their two children, Hank and Stevie, Decker used emoticons to obscure their faces in the images.

The decision to hide their children's faces drew criticism from some social media users, who questioned the necessity of concealing the faces of children in posts. Decker responded to one such comment with a two-word reply: “Bitter much?”.

Decker’s post included various glimpses into the couple's private life, such as photos of Roddick in front of the Eiffel Tower and clips of him with their pet. The couple has been married since 2008 and has previously spoken about the logistical challenges of balancing parenthood with their professional lives.
