Brooklyn family targeted by TikTok harassment trend over driveway dispute

A long-standing driveway dispute between neighbors in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn, has escalated into a viral TikTok harassment trend. After a video of 65-year-old homeowner Frank Chen was uploaded to the platform, garnering nearly 7 million views, strangers began traveling to his residence to intentionally block his driveway.

Participants in the trend, who have labeled the home a ‘NYC tourist attraction,’ reportedly park vehicles in front of ‘no parking’ signs to provoke Chen and capture his reactions for social media content. Chen reported that up to 10 vehicles arrive daily, with some individuals revving engines late at night to disturb his family, which includes his 94-year-old father.

The family has also reported facing racial slurs and verbal abuse from both neighbors and internet visitors. The NYPD has confirmed receiving over ten reports of harassment regarding the incident and is currently communicating with local residents to address the situation.
