Brooklyn Nets select rookie Mikel Brown Jr. and forward Tyler Bilodeau in 2026 NBA Draft

The Brooklyn Nets added two players in the 2026 NBA Draft. With the sixth overall pick, the team selected rookie forward Mikel Brown Jr., who said teammate Julius Randle encouraged him with, “We’re gonna shock the world.”

In the second round, the Nets chose UCLA senior Tyler Bilodeau at No. 43 overall. Bilodeau, a 6‑foot‑9 forward, averaged 13.1 points and 4.9 rebounds in 128 college games, posted a 46.4 % three‑point rate his senior year, and earned third‑team All‑Big Ten honors. Coach Mick Cronin praised his work ethic and shooting improvement.

Both players join a Nets roster that includes veteran Julius Randle and recent addition Michael Porter Jr., signalling a blend of youth and experience for the franchise.
