Brooklyn Nets sign Grant Nelson to final two-way contract

The Brooklyn Nets have completed their roster by signing 7-foot Grant Nelson to the team’s third and final two-way contract. Nelson, 24, previously played for both the Nets and their G League affiliate, the Long Island Nets.

Nelson, a former standout at North Dakota State and Alabama, had his previous season cut short due to patellar tendinitis. After undergoing a rehab program, he earned a 10-day contract with Brooklyn last season, appearing in four games.

With this signing, Nelson joins Chaney Johnson and second-round pick Tyler Bilodeau as the team’s two-way players, joining a roster that currently includes 15 players on standard deals.
