Broshuis receives order for 15 tank transporters for Danish Defence

Broshuis, a manufacturer based in Kampen, has received an additional order for 15 Heavy Equipment Trailers (HET) to support the Danish Defence. The order was placed by Scania on behalf of the Danish military to expand an existing fleet used for transporting heavy military equipment, specifically Leopard battle tanks.

The new trailers are designed to carry loads between 84 and 89 tons. To ensure stability and weight distribution for these massive loads, the trailers utilize eight axles. The design features a low loading floor of approximately 89 to 90 centimeters to facilitate the transport of heavy vehicles like the Leopard 2, which weighs approximately 68 tons.

This agreement builds upon a 2019 collaboration between Broshuis, Scania, and the Danish military, which saw the delivery of 49 trailers. Once the new units are delivered, which is expected by the end of 2026, more than 60 Broshuis defense trailers will be operational in Denmark.
