Brownsville drug raid leads to charges for man and woman
A 33-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman have been charged following a police raid on a unit on Prince Edward Drive in Brownsville. The search, conducted by the NSW Police Southern Operations Support Group on Friday, August 28, allegedly uncovered 171.85 grams of methylamphetamine.
In addition to the methamphetamine, officers allegedly seized 50 strips of buprenorphine and $1,320 in cash. The man faces charges including supplying a prohibited drug, recklessly dealing with proceeds of crime, and two counts of possessing prohibited drugs. The woman is charged with supplying a prohibited drug and three counts of possessing prohibited drugs.
Both individuals were refused bail and appeared in Bail Division Court on Saturday, August 29. They are scheduled to reappear in Wollongong Local Court on Tuesday, September 8.
