Bruce Campbell reveals five-year prognosis amid cancer battle
Actor Bruce Campbell, widely recognized for his role in the ‘Evil Dead’ franchise, has provided an update on his health following a cancer diagnosis earlier this year. During an appearance on ‘The Adam Carolla Show’, the 68-year-old actor revealed that doctors have given him a prognosis of approximately five years to live, describing it as a ‘five-year deal’.
Campbell, who first disclosed in March that he is facing a form of cancer that is ‘treatable’ but not ‘curable’, has expressed a defiant attitude toward his condition. He stated, ‘I’ve decided, pretty specifically, to live with it, not die from it,’ and noted his intention to avoid the ‘cancer rabbit hole’ of excessive research and support groups.
Despite the diagnosis, Campbell is continuing his professional work. He is currently promoting his new independent film, ‘Ernie & Emma’, a comedy-drama in which he also served as writer, director, and producer. He emphasized his desire to maintain a sense of normalcy and focus on his creative projects while managing his health.
