Iron Maiden frontman Bruce Dickinson made a surprise appearance with Billie Joe Armstrong’s covers band, The Coverups, during the San Diego Comic-Con festivities on July 23. The duo performed David Bowie’s "All The Young Dudes," a song Dickinson originally recorded for his 1990 solo album Tattooed Millionaire. Dickinson recalled arriving in San Diego from Europe at 6 a.m., jet‑lagged, and being asked by Armstrong to step up for the song.

The impromptu performance was captured on video and posted to YouTube, where Dickinson joked that it was available “in all its terrible splendor.” The event coincided with Dickinson finalising a new solo album and promoting Iron Maiden’s upcoming 2026 Australian tour, which will feature Megadeth as guests.

Fans quickly shared the clip online, highlighting the rare collaboration between two iconic rock vocalists.
