Bruce Springsteen joins Bleachers for surprise Asbury Park performance

Bruce Springsteen joined Jack Antonoff and his band Bleachers for a surprise performance during the Shadow of the City Festival at the Stone Pony Summer Stage in Asbury Park, New Jersey.

The duo performed two songs: a rendition of Tom Waits’ ‘Jersey Girl’ and Bleachers’ ‘Chinatown’. The performance of ‘Chinatown’ marked the first time the two artists have sung the track together since 2020 at Electric Lady Studios in New York City.

During the event, Antonoff reflected on the emotional significance of performing in his home state, noting the connection to the location where he wrote his music and began his career.
