Bruce Springsteen makes two surprise New Jersey appearances

Bruce Springsteen made two surprise appearances at the Jersey Shore on Friday. His first visit was a drop-in at the new Bruce Springsteen Center for American Music at Monmouth University.

Hours later, the 76-year-old musician joined Jack Antonoff and his band Bleachers on stage at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park during the Shadow of the City festival. Springsteen performed “Jersey Girl” alongside Antonoff and later joined the group for “Chinatown,” a song he previously appeared on in 2020.
