Bruce Springsteen releases Philadelphia tour video and announces new music
Bruce Springsteen has released a free streaming video titled ‘Philadelphia Freedom Cut,’ featuring seven songs from the final leg of his ‘Land of Hope and Dreams’ American Tour. The performance, recorded in Philadelphia with the E Street Band, includes tracks such as ‘War,’ ‘Born in the U.S.A.,’ and ‘No Surrender.’
Springsteen addressed the political nature of the tour in an interview with Rolling Stone, stating he has no regrets about using his music to engage with the current political climate, despite potentially alienating some fans. He described the tour as an effort to defend the Constitution and democracy. The tour was influenced by his protest song ‘Streets in Minneapolis.’
In addition to the video release, Springsteen confirmed he is working on two new albums—one of which is already completed—and is preparing a multi-part concert film for YouTube. While he is not ruling out future touring, he indicated a preference for shorter runs of 20 to 30 shows rather than massive international tours.
