Bruce Springsteen warns of election interference

Musician Bruce Springsteen has issued an urgent appeal to election officials and government representatives to ensure that votes are counted securely. In a video message shared on Instagram, the singer warned against potential government interference in the upcoming congressional elections by the administration of President Donald Trump.

Springsteen, a critic of Trump, invoked the words of Founding Father Thomas Jefferson, noting that the government requires the consent of the governed. He urged officials not to comply with any instructions that might undermine the constitutional right to free and fair elections, stating, “Our voice is our voice, and it is up to you to ensure that our voice is heard.”

The appeal comes amid concerns that President Trump may challenge election results in Democrat-led states if Republican candidates face defeat, similar to his refusal to recognize the results of the 2020 presidential election.
