Bruce Willis' family to donate brain for dementia research

The family of actor Bruce Willis has announced the decision to donate his brain to scientific research following his diagnosis of frontotemporal dementia (FTD). The decision is supported by his wife, Emma Heming Willis, his former wife, Demi Moore, and his five daughters.

Willis was diagnosed with aphasia in 2022, which was later confirmed to have progressed into frontotemporal dementia in 2023. This neurodegenerative condition affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, impacting personality, behavior, and language. The donation aims to provide researchers with critical data to better understand the disease and develop future treatments or preventative measures.
