Bruce Willis spotted in Los Angeles as his frontotemporal dementia worsens

Actor Bruce Willis, 71, was photographed in Los Angeles this week while riding with his bodyguard. The images show him appearing tired, yawning several times during the drive. Willis retired from acting in 2022 after doctors diagnosed him with aphasia, later identified as frontotemporal dementia – a progressive neurodegenerative disorder that impairs language, behavior and movement.

His wife, Emma Heming Willis, confirmed that he now lives in a care facility where he receives specialized medical support. She said the decision to place him there was "one of the hardest" and was made to protect their daughters, Mabel Ray (14) and Evelyn Penn (12). Willis’s adult daughters from his previous marriage, including Rumer Willis, continue to visit, though the actor sometimes fails to recognize them.

The sighting, captured by photographers, has drawn attention to his health condition and the family's efforts to maintain his privacy while coping with the disease.
