Brugge begins Zwaanhofstraat infrastructure renovation
Renovation works have commenced on Zwaanhofstraat in Brugge to implement a comprehensive structural upgrade. The project includes the installation of a separated sewerage system to distinguish between rainwater and wastewater, alongside the construction of a new roadway, sidewalks, and parking areas.
The project, which is expected to continue until the summer of 2027, involves planting 16 new trees—11 alders and 5 oaks—and creating green zones designed for rainwater collection. The number of parking spaces will increase from 100 to 109. The total cost of the project is approximately 1.35 million euros, with contractor PERSYN managing the works. To minimize disruption, the construction will be carried out in phases.
