Brugnetto, Italy sees strong community turnout for 'Lo sguardo sull’arte' cultural event

On July 24 2026 the Casa Sant’Ubaldo in Brugnetto, part of the Trecastelli municipality, hosted “Lo sguardo sull’arte”, a public discussion of modern art organized by the Biblioteca Circolo Culturale “Oscar Franceschini”. Professor Paolo Turchi led the session, urging attendees to move beyond passive consumption and become attentive observers. He introduced Heinrich Wölfflin’s theory of pure visibility and guided the audience through a selection of artworks dating from the 15th to the 18th century.

The talk attracted notable interest from the local community, confirming the town’s sensitivity to cultural initiatives. Building on the enthusiasm, the library announced a follow‑up event for August 7 that will focus on Caravaggio and feature Professor Maurizio Cesarini.
