Brukett cherry glögi wins Finnish tasting competition

A recent tasting conducted by the Finnish magazine Kotiliesi evaluated six new glögi (mulled wine) products, with the most affordable option securing the top spot. Ruukin Kirsikkaglögi, produced by the Finnish company Brukett from the village of Fiskars, received the highest score of 9.5. The 0.75-liter bottle, priced at 9.98 euros, features an organic red wine base with cherry and traditional Christmas spices.

Other notable entries included the Swedish brand Blossa, which took second place with a score of 9. The Blossa variety featured a margarita-inspired profile with lime and agave distillate. In contrast, the highest-alcohol entry, containing 20 percent alcohol, received the lowest score of 6, as judges noted the alcohol content overpowered the festive spices.
