Brunate inaugurates Volta Circuit cultural itinerary

The municipality of Brunate is inaugurating the Volta Circuit, a permanent 15-stage cultural itinerary designed to showcase the town's history, landscape, and notable figures. The path integrates the legacy of scientist Alessandro Volta with other historical personalities, including Federico Fellini, Alda Merini, and Giuditta Pasta. The route features informational panels in Italian and English, supplemented by digital content.

This initiative is a primary outcome of the Volta Project, a €1 million regenerative tourism plan supported by Fondazione Cariplo and the Lombardy Region. The project aims to manage tourist flows more effectively by encouraging visitors to explore less frequented areas and stay longer, rather than merely viewing the landscape via the Como funicular.

In preparation for the bicentenary of Volta's death in 2027, the project also includes the recovery of Marenghi Park and the historic Grottesca, where an energy museum will be established. The inauguration coincides with the 18th edition of the Itacà Festival, a national event focused on responsible tourism.
