Brunch Electronik Festival draws 28,000 attendees in Barcelona

The fourth edition of the Brunch Electronik Festival opened at Barcelona's Forum on a hot, sunny day, attracting around 28,000 people. The event featured six stages with a mix of electronic sub‑genres. Haitian‑born producer Kaytranada headlined the sunset set, blending house, funk, hip‑hop and R&B, while Detroit techno pioneer Jeff Mills delivered his signature fast, industrial‑leaning tracks. Creative director Martin Petrik described the festival’s evolution from a family‑friendly gathering to a major cultural showcase, noting that 80 % of the audience were local Brunchers.

Organisers highlighted the festival’s role in promoting diversity within electronic music and its growing importance for Barcelona’s cultural scene.
