Brunei opens Sacred Hair of Prophet Muhammad Room

The Balai Khazanah Islam Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah (BKISHHB) has officially opened the Sacred Hair of Prophet Muhammad Room. The opening was marked by a Berselawat ceremony featuring the recitation of Selawat and Dikir.

To commemorate the birth month of Prophet Muhammad, the room will be open to the public for a limited period, running from August 15 until September 12, 2026. The event was attended by several high-ranking officials, including the Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II, Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Rtd) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof.

Other notable attendees included ministers from the Prime Minister’s Office and the Ministry of Development. The ceremony included religious recitations such as Sayyidul Istighfar and prayers for the protection of the Sultan and Brunei Darussalam.
