Brunei Sultan presents and receives diplomatic credentials

Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah of Brunei Darussalam presided over a ceremony to present Letters of Credence to newly appointed Bruneian envoys and receive credentials from incoming foreign representatives.

Among the Bruneian diplomats receiving appointments were Dato Seri Paduka Awang Haji Hisham bin Haji Mohd Hanifah, the Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, and Sheikh Abdul Mahdani bin Dato Paduka Sheikh Haji Abdul Gani, the Ambassador to France.

Resident foreign envoys who presented their credentials included representatives from China, Vietnam, Myanmar, and the United Kingdom. Additionally, the Sultan received credentials from 20 non-resident foreign envoys representing various nations, including Paraguay, Tunisia, and Bulgaria.
