Brunna Gonçalves sues Alexandre Frota for alleged racial defamation

Influencer and dancer Brunna Gonçalves, wife of singer Ludmilla, filed a civil lawsuit in Rio de Janeiro's 6th Civil Court (Barra da Tijuca) against former federal deputy and actor Alexandre Frota. The complaint seeks R$40,000 in moral damages and a public retraction, alleging that Frota's social‑media comments constituted personal offense, public disqualification and “racial inferiority” remarks. Frota’s posts mocked Gonçalves’ appearance and suggested she was exploiting Ludmilla, language described by her lawyers as “inferiorização racial”. The case is now pending judicial review.
