Actor Bruno Bichir has addressed rumors regarding the circumstances surrounding his nephew José Ángel Bichir’s fall from a third-floor building in Mexico City. Bichir denied claims that the incident was caused by a lack of work or professional pressure within the entertainment industry.

Bruno Bichir stated that the situation was likely the result of multiple complex factors, noting, “I do not believe he had a collapse due to lack of work. Everything comes together... the country, life, the universe... there are many factors.”

The actor also commented on the ongoing crisis in the Mexican theater industry, noting that his family has faced a scarcity of professional opportunities for generations. He emphasized that despite their prominence in the arts, the family does not use personal connections or “palancas” to secure employment. José Ángel Bichir, 38, is currently recovering from facial fractures and is reported to be progressing well both physically and emotionally.
