Bruno Fernandes linked to major European clubs amid release clause reports
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes is the subject of intense transfer speculation due to a £57 million (approximately €67 million) release clause in his contract that is reportedly applicable only to clubs outside of the Premier League.
Several major European clubs, including AC Milan, Juventus, and Galatasaray, are monitoring the situation. While Manchester United management views the 31-year-old midfielder as a fundamental component of the squad under manager Michael Carrick, the club is also working to rationalize wage costs.
Fernandes' current contract runs until 2027 and includes an option for an additional year, but negotiations for a long-term extension have not yet reached an agreement. Despite the interest from overseas, Fernandes has expressed a desire to remain at Old Trafford and continue his career in England.
