Bruno Fernandes faces transfer speculation at Manchester United

Manchester United midfielder Bruno Fernandes is facing uncertainty regarding his future at the club. While Antonio Valencia has praised the Portuguese international as ‘world class’, reports suggest that club co-owners INEOS may be willing to consider a sale for a fee in the region of €50-60m. Fernandes, who joined from Sporting CP in 2020, currently has a contract running until the end of the season with an option to extend for one year. Negotiations for a new deal are reportedly ongoing, though no agreement has been reached.

On the pitch, Manchester United is preparing to face Atletico Madrid in a UEFA Champions League league phase match. Manager Michael Carrick will have to navigate significant injury concerns, with several key players including Matthijs de Ligt, Noussair Mazraoui, and Manuel Ugarte sidelined. In contrast, Atletico Madrid enters the matchup with a full squad available following a recent victory over Deportivo Alavés.
