Bruno Fernandes praises Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Portugal-Norway match

Portugal captain Bruno Fernandes has expressed his gratitude for former Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer ahead of Portugal’s UEFA Nations League match against Norway.

Fernandes, who rose to prominence at Old Trafford under Solskjaer, noted that the former manager provided him with the opportunity to play for one of the world’s largest clubs. While the two speak occasionally about football, Fernandes confirmed they have not discussed the upcoming fixture between their respective national teams.

Fernandes will lead the Portuguese squad, which has maintained a perfect record in Group A4. The match features a notable connection to Solskjaer, who earned 67 caps for Norway during his playing career. Portugal enters the encounter following a 4-2 victory over Denmark, in which Fernandes provided two assists.
